Trek Overview
Duration: 12 Days Range: Himalaya Altitude: 4000 m Zone: Open Best Time: June - August Standard: Easy Hotel Nights: 04 Camp Nights: 07 Nanga Parbat complex has several routes but the famous treks are Rupal valley, Fairy Meadows and the around Nanga Parbat. In the west seen from the Karakoram Highway, the scenery is just as overwhelming, even though the ramparts here slopes rather than plunge down. Wherever the Indus Valley broadens out it dominates the horizon. For sheer size Nanga Parbat is almost without equal, not a single peak but in fact, an entire massif culminating in an ice summit 8125 meter high. The rumpled flanks of its subservient attendants climb up out of the Indus Valley and there, beyond the blue-grey whaleback ridges, ringed by a halo cloud, rises its long ridge. Of all the great mountains that form the great mountain ranges of Himalayas, Karakoram and Hindukush it is the most frequently seen.
