As the winter chill recedes, the ancient mountain kingdoms of Hunza, Nagar, and Upper Gojal burst into vibrant life. First, almond trees bloom in delicate white petals, swiftly followed by apricot, peach, pear, and deep-pink cherry blossoms (Sakura), creating an astonishing pastel sea framed by vertical granite walls and shimmering glaciers.
This guided journey is perfectly timed to catch the peak bloom as it sweeps northwards up the Karakoram Highway. You will explore the 900-year-old Altit Fort and 700-year-old Baltit Fort, cruise across the turquoise waters of Attabad Lake, watch sunrise over Rakaposhi from Duikar (Eagle’s Nest), and travel all the way to the highest paved international border crossing at Khunjerab Pass (4,693m).

Arrival in Islamabad – Welcome & Trip Briefing
Welcome to Pakistan! You will be warmly greeted by your Hunza Adventure Tours guide at Islamabad International Airport and transferred to our partner hotel. In the afternoon, enjoy an orientation briefing and a visit to the iconic Faisal Mosque and Pakistan Monument before a traditional welcome dinner.
Islamabad to Swat Valley via Taxila Buddhist Site
Drive to the lush Swat Valley (the Switzerland of the East). En route, we visit the UNESCO World Heritage archaeological ruins of Taxila Museum and Dharmarajika Stupa. In Swat, we explore the local bazaar, Buddhist petroglyphs, and handmade shawl weaving centers.
Swat Valley to Chilas via Karakoram Highway
Ascend towards the mighty Indus River gorge joining the Karakoram Highway. We marvel at ancient rock carvings left by Silk Road merchants dating back to the 1st century BCE. Overnight stay at a riverside hotel in Chilas.
Chilas to Karimabad, Hunza Valley (3 Mountain Ranges Junction)
A day of world-class mountain panoramas! We stop at Jaglot—the unique geographic meeting point of the Karakoram, Himalayas, and Hindukush mountain ranges—followed by a lunch break directly beneath the sheer 5,000m north face of Mount Rakaposhi (7,788m). Arrive in Karimabad, surrounded by vibrant pink and white orchards.
Central Hunza Blossom, Ancient Forts & Eagle's Nest Sunset
Walk through traditional cobblestone water channels amidst flowering apricot trees. Tour the 700-year-old Baltit Fort and 900-year-old Altit Fort royal gardens. In the evening, drive up to Duikar (Eagle's Nest) to photograph golden sunset alpenglow sweeping across Rakaposhi, Diran, Ultar Sar, and Golden Peak.
Karimabad to Hoper Glacier & Attabad Lake to Gulmit
Explore the 1,000-year-old settlement of Ganish before driving into Nagar Valley to view the black Hoper Glacier. Afterward, enjoy a scenic motorboat ride across the deep turquoise waters of Attabad Lake. Continue into Upper Hunza (Gojal) and check into your hotel in Gulmit village.
Excursion to Khunjerab Pass (4,693m China Border)
Drive through the high-altitude Khunjerab National Park along the Karakoram Highway to reach the highest paved international border crossing in the world between Pakistan and China. Look out for Himalayan Ibex, Golden Marmots, and Marco Polo Sheep across the alpine meadows.
Passu Glacier, Borith Lake & Hussaini Suspension Bridge
Cross the iconic Hussaini Suspension Bridge above the Hunza River, hike to the viewpoint of the Passu White Glacier, and relax by the emerald waters of Borith Lake. Enjoy a traditional home-cooked lunch featuring local apricot soup and walnut bread with a local Wakhi family.
Gulmit to Besham via Scenic Karakoram Highway
Begin our southward return drive along the Karakoram Highway, enjoying changing spring landscapes and lush terrace farming along the Indus River. Overnight stay at Besham.
Besham to Islamabad – Farewell Dinner & Airport Drop
Drive back to Islamabad. Spend the afternoon shopping for authentic gemstone jewelry, carpets, and dried apricots in the colorful bazaars of Rawalpindi. After a celebratory farewell dinner at the scenic Monal restaurant overlooking the capital, transfer to Islamabad International Airport for your return flight.

Terms & Conditions
Hunza Adventure Tours promulgates its terms and conditions for any kind of trip, trekking, mountaineering, hiking, rafting, wildlife safaris, and other travel services operated by the company. The terms and conditions set forth will bring forward its limitations before any interested visitor advances for the programs alluded.
Reservation & Advance Payment Requirements
- 40% advance deposit should be made 1 month earlier or as soon as the trip is confirmed to enable the company to manage all required government documents, permits, hotel reservations, and field staff allocations.
- The full balance settlement must be cleared upon arrival in Pakistan before proceeding on the trip.
- Advance deposits can be directly wired to our official corporate bank account through any bank worldwide.
- Advance deposits are non-refundable in case of trip cancellation on behalf of the client, but 100% refundable if the company faces technical impediments.
- For special circumstances, bilateral negotiation can be made between the company and the client.

No refund is made for the deposit in case of cancellation on the client's behalf. If full payment was completed and written cancellation is submitted with advance notice, refunds will be calculated after deducting operational cancellation charges and non-refundable hotel/transport bookings.
All tour packages provide hotel rooms on a twin-sharing basis. A single room supplement charge will be invoiced to clients who prefer single occupancy or where a roommate cannot be assigned.
No refund will be made to clients who leave the tour early regardless of any unused hotel nights or meals in the itinerary.
Our licensed tour directors hold complete operational authority. Clients engaging in unlawful conduct or disrupting fellow travellers may be required to leave the tour without compensation.
While we provide the highest standard of boutique hotels and private transport in northern Pakistan, seasonal weather and mountain road conditions require patience and enthusiasm.
All participants are advised to secure international travel insurance covering emergency medical expenses, baggage loss, and trip cancellation prior to departure.
Prior notice is required for requested itinerary customizations. On tour, our tour guide may adjust day timings to take advantage of optimal bloom conditions and sunny weather.
Passports must be valid for at least 6 months from arrival date. We provide official LOI documentation for the Pakistan online eVisa.
We take every measure to ensure a hassle-free vacation. Extra expenses resulting from unforeseen landslides, road closures, or flight disruptions are the responsibility of the traveler.
In case of mountain flight cancellations between Islamabad and Gilgit/Skardu due to weather, overland travel via the scenic Karakoram Highway will be provided automatically.
